Clinique Perfume

Clinique is a cosmetic line developed as a branch of Estee Lauder, for people with very sensitive skin.  It was developed by a dermatologist to meet the skin care needs of individuals based on a category of skin types.  The products are known for being allergy tested, which Clinique defines as being tried on 600 people at least 12 times with no reactions.

Clinique was ahead of its time in 1971 when the parent company, Estee Lauder, launched its perfume that was not tested on animals.  They wanted a line specifically concerned with the negative effects of ingredients, not only in short-term reactions but on long-terms effects on the respiratory system, the brain, and other organs.

Clinique’s original fragrance, Aromatics Elixir, included rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, and vetiver ingredients.  This product was created by Estee Lauder to offer something to those persons who had allergies and could not wear perfume.
